  Hortatory text  (teks hortatory) adalah jenis teks yang bertujuan untuk memberikan saran, ajakan atau nasihat kepada pembaca atau pendengar. Tujuan utamanya adalah untuk mempengaruhi atau mengajak orang lain untuk melakukan atau tidak melakukan sesuatu berdasarkan argumen dan alasan yang disampaikan. Struktur teks hortatory biasanya terdiri dari: 1. Pendahuluan/Introduction: Memperkenalkan topik atau masalah yang akan dibahas serta menyatakan pendapat atau posisi penulis terkait dengan masalah tersebut. 2.          Garbage is something we are used to encountering. We can find trash everywhere, such as on the side of the road, tourist attractions and even schools. Most of the waste in these places is plastic waste. Plastic waste is waste that is very difficult for the earth to recycle.      The picture above shows the condition of one of the trash cans at the school. There is rubbish scattered around the rubbish bin. The rubbish scattered in the picture is plastic rubbish.      Trash cans with rubbish scattered around them create an unpleasant odor.
